Mojo# 438 – Fear Not
Time for another Mojo Monday Challenge! Great Sketch this week. Here it is:
I just love the Birthday Bouquet Paper! This is one of the prettiest sets of paper Stampin’ UP! has designed in my opinion.
Hard to choose which one is a favorite! But this is my favorite:
I couldn’t help but use it on this sketch.
I really find comfort in the verse included in the Rose Wonder Stamp Set. So this card came together naturally for me. Of course, I had to add the gorgeous Pool Party ribbon which coordinates perfectly.
Here is a small close up of the paper. However, a close up shows my poor cutting job-oh well.
One great thing about the Birthday Bouquet Cardstock Pack is that it includes the beautiful Blushing Bride, Pool Party AND Whisper White Thick Cardstock~ All for only $7.00! 8 each of the three colors.
If you have an order that is less than $150.00, please consider using my hostess code of 3Q6FNFDJ. You will receive a special thank you from me if you do!
Here’s some items you might consider!
Life without Dogs? I don’t think so!
Today’s card features my love of animals. I love all kinds of furry creatures…even dogs. (Crush does not look amused at my saying this).
My husband and I would love to have a fawn colored Great Dane some day. While on vacation in Arkansas years ago, we came across a a massive stuffed Great Dane in a souvenir shop. The childhood part of our hearts couldn’t resist purchasing him. Thus Belle (as we named her), is one giant stuffed Great Dane who keeps watch over the entry way to our home. Many guests have been startled by her. 🙂
Here is the Crush meeting Belle the first time:
He seems to be saying “Fess up! Whose idea was this??”
Enough silliness- on to this week’s Mojo sketch:
And my Take on it:
I had to omit one of the circles due to the size of the dog heads. But I think it still worked out! While fussy cutting the ribbon on the bone from a Real Red stamping of the image, I began to question my own mental stability. However, I survived.
I gussied up the inside a little with some left over pattern paper. I really like this years DSP stacks.
And finally, I had to share another photo of Belle and one of our other kitties named Bling. This photo was taken in our previous home in Indianapolis. Bling (he has extra digits on his two front paws making him polydactyl) felt brave enough to stand watch at night with his big friend by his side. Now during times of extreme danger (ie. someone other than Dan and I in the house) he can be find hiding inside my stamp cabinet upstairs. 🙂 Shh…he is safe there because no one knows where he is!
Please come back again soon for more stamping inspiration!
Mojo Monday 434 Friend Card
I finally made a new Mojo card. It is interesting to me that what I end up with, is usually different than what I have in my head starting out. That isn’t a bad thing…just somewhat surprising. For instance Garden Green is not something I reach for right off the bat, nor is stamping a heart in that color but…that is just where the process took me.
Here is this week’s sketch. I struggled a bit with that top circle. I like the idea of it getting cut off the card… but not sure I chose the right paper. I am still working with pairing pattern papers. I wish I had taken a design class while in college.
Here is my take on the Sketch :
I ended up using the opposite side of the pattern papers once I had them cut. I kinda wish I had tried stamping the heart on Crumb Cake paper instead of white as well. That would have changed the second circle to the beige hearts I wanted to originally use. Didn’t think of that till now….
One more detail:
I used one of the It’s My Party Enamel Dots and then added a Rhinestone on top. Not sure how well this will make it through the mail but it is pretty in person.
My new crafting resolution of using the pretty accents (designer paper, enamel dots, etc) instead of collecting them seems to be working out.
Hope you enjoyed the card! All the products I used are listed down below. Click on one to go directly to my online store.
Mojo Monday #421
The Mojo sketch was a simple one this week and I was able to put together a card fairly quickly.
I took a huge cue from Stampin’ UP!’s catalog sample for the Wonderous Wreath stamp set.
I liked the idea of Altering the Happy Wonderful Christmas to fit inside the wreath so I went with it.
I was impressed by their color scheme as well. So the Every Day Chic Designer Series Paper fit the bill!
I then decided to cut one extra die cut of the ribbon and flag the ends to complete the sketch. Super simple and the Red Glitter Papper adds the sparkle I desire.

Mojo 414- Believe in Santa
This week’s Mojo sketch is a nice design. Certainly many directions one could go with a sketch that isn’t overly complicated.
One of my first purchases from the Holiday Catalog was the Home for the Holiday’s DSP. It has been calling my name since I first saw it. Not sure which I adore more…The reindeer or the santa’s.
I have always been a very sentimental person. I love the retro feel these images evoke in me. This paper has a metallic sheen in places too. Look at Santa’s coat.
I tried to do some paper piecing/ layering to give it the image more depth. Can you see his beard and hands and also his pant cuffs are trimmed out and put on dimensionals for more depth? I molded the back of the cut out pieces on my foam mat to give them more dimension. I think I will need to practice more with this this technique to be more successful.

Mojo412- Stampin’ UP! Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper
Time for another Mojo fix. Don’t you think this week’s sketch is rather fun?
I have been asked for baby cards lately and sadly I had none in my stash! Now that is a call to action! My Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper beckoned me with those yummy Pool Party Polka Dots.
- Stop hoarding your Designer Series Paper!
This year I did a paper share with my downline. I only had a 6×12 sheet of this series. I LOVE the polka dots and my first thought was to save them for something “better”. Guess what? Something “better” might not come along so why not use it now? I am thinking this year I won’t be left with lots of retired paper and I got to use it along the way! I am trying to break myself of “saving” things.
I really enjoyed using my new White Perfect Accents and using an orange Sharpie Marker to color it to match my creation. They stick like a dream and are so easy to work with!
I hope you enjoyed the sketch results as much as I did this week!
